Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon getting tattooed
Everyone needs a friend like Chris Hemsworth — just ask Matt Damon.
Damon had the Thor star on hand while he got tattooed earlier this month to hold his hand and pat his head, because tattooing can really hurt, you know? The actor also had his wife, Luciana Damon, and Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky, in his corner cheering for him while Trudy Lines, a Bang Bang tattoo artist, inked his arm.
The artist — whose real name is Corina Weikl — showed off a carousel of photos of the tattoo outing on Instagram, which also reveals that Hemsworth and Pataky got inked as well. The gathering took place in Los Angeles in a picturesque setting overlooking Southern California.
In the carousel, Hemsworth showed off his linework on his arm, while Pataky showed off a delicate celestial piece on the top of her hand. Damon got his tattoo on his bicep while sprawled out on the table next to an infinity pool overlooking the scenery.
“Pre-game hangs before the Oscars with @chrishemsworth @elsapataky #mattdamon @dameluce 📽️🥂🖤 I love my job. Thank you for being so great @chrishemsworth & @elsapataky,” the artist wrote in the caption.
The Good Will Hunting‘s new tattoo joins his “Nomad” tattoo that he got last year from celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter, known as winterstone.
Winter shared the moment on Instagram, writing, “The tattoo has great meaning! For his late father. We tattooed NOMAD which was his fathers boat and also Says DAMON backwards! Pretty rad tattoo with so much Meaning!”
But perhaps the coolest part for both men was that Damon also picked up the tattoo machine and tattooed Winter right back.
“And Mr. Damon tattooed me! His first time tattooing! A small universe… aka a dot!” Winter wrote.
The actor also has tattoos of his daughters’ names — Stella [Zavala], 13, Gia [Zavala], 15, Isabella, 17, and Alexia, 25. He also has a tattoo of “Lucy” for his wife.
