Justin Bieber mourns Liam Payne with three-word tribute: “I…” See more

In a touching tribute to the late Liam Payne, Justin Bieber has expressed his sorrow at the untimely passing of the One Direction star. The 31-year-old singer tragically died after an accident involving a hotel balcony fall in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, October 16.

His death has sparked a global wave of sadness. The 30-year-old pop icon reposted a heartfelt video on his Instagram story capturing the moving scenes from a Hyde Park vigil for Liam and showed fans leaving flowers at the famous One Direction phone box situated at the Hard Rock Cafe.

The emotional audio accompanying the footage offers solace to grieving supporters: “Just remember, you are allowed to grieve as a fan. You are allowed to love someone you’ve never met. You are allowed to admire someone for their art. You are allowed, to cry, to break, to feel like a part of you is gone. Because even if they never knew your name, they changed your world.”

In addition, Justin included a personal message as he shared the clips, writing: “Rest easy Liam,” followed by a white heart emoji. Liam himself had spoken warmly about his friendship with Bieber in a previous interview with the Mirror in 2019, where they put aside any past tensions and engaged in a deep conversation inside Justin’s trailer.

In a touching Instagram post, members of One Direction including Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson have expressed their deep sadness with a combined message: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing,” they began.

“In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever,” reports Wales Online.

“For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”
