Tom Cruise is bidding farewell to the UK after living here for five years – as he makes the move back to his home country of America. The 62-year-old actor wrapped up filming on Mission: Impossible 8 on Thursday, 10 October, and it’s said that he is planning on heading back to the US to live there once more. Tom has made the UK his home for the past five years and he’s certainly made the most of his time here – having made friends with Prince William, attended Glastonbury and enjoyed some of the UK’s best restaurants.
But insiders claim he’s now made the decision to return home in a bid to spend more time with family, including his son, Connor, 29, who lives in Florida. Tom shares Connor and 31-year-old Isabella with his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. Isabella lives in London, so Tom has no doubt used his time in England to see her. A source told The Sun: “Tom has made the UK his home for five years, and he absolutely loves it here. It was his base for Dead Reckoning one and two, and now that he’s done the sequel, he is heading home.”

“It’s been a wild ride for Tom, and the longer he has stayed in the UK, the more he has fallen in love with the country.” The insider claims that living in the UK has done Tom’s reputation “‘the world of good” and that he is “so much happier for it.”
The world-famous actor has amassed an impressive portfolio of properties across the world, and in the US, he’s said to own houses in New York, Colorado, Beverly Hills and Florida, so he won’t be short of choice when it comes to where he wants to stay.

He previously owned a £3.2million estate in England, which can be found in the West Sussex town of East Grinstead. The English estate is located close to the British headquarters for the Church of Scientology, of which Tom has famously been a practicing member since the 1980s. He’s believed to have sold the property to none other than Peter Andre in 2016 for a cool £6million.
More recently, whilst he’s been living in the UK, Tom is said to have favoured a spot in Biggin Hill in the London Borough of Bromley which has acted as his base in between filming his movies.
